Echo was originally named, way out West the name was created after one of their remixes. They have produced and performed together for over sixteen years. They released their debut in 1997, the album spawned the single "Blue" (the reinterpretation of the theme from the film Withnail and I), "Domination", "Ajare", and the top 15 UK hit, "The Gift" (which includes a sample version of Joanna Law "The First Time Ever I Saw your Face)".
Intensifying the release of their second album in 2001 was marked by moving from record label Deconstruction Records Distinctive death, and changes in their voices, from the club instrumental and vocal samples to a mixture of club tracks and original songs. The single from the album include "Mindcircus", which reached # 39 in the UK Singles Chart, and clubs around the world hit "Increase". "Activities" of this release also appeared in the 2001 PlayStation 2 game Kinetica.
The duo released their third full album in 2004, titled Do not Look Now, featuring vocalist Omi on several songs. Their song "Never Forget" has been featured in two seasons of Grey Anatomy, "Melt" has a dramatic appearance in The OC, and loops of their song "The Gift" is used for the title theme at the MTV true life. Instrumental version of their song "Just Like A Man" has appeared on season 3, episode 8 CSI: Miami The song "Do But You" was featured in the video game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 .. The killa song featuring video game juiced.
